How much food should a cat be given per day?
When it comes to the amount of food a cat needs, our specialist vet, Dr Radicke, will be happy to make individual recommendations! The following values can be used as a general guideline, whereby the age, weight and temperament of the cat should always be taken into account:
- if a cat weighs 3 kg, it can be given 175 g of food daily
- a cat weighing 4 kg should receive 215 g
- if a cat weighs 5 kg, it can be given 245 g of food per day
